If you've driven west on US 36, you've seen a major project taking shape on the north side of the road behind Cabin Coffee and across from the entrance to Washington Township Park. Easton Grey is a several-hundred-acre development comprised of multiple neighborhoods. The hub of the development is the Riverwalk District, a mixed-use pedestrian-oriented area that will contain restaurants, retail, and diverse housing options. The Civic Center is the focus of the district, and its construction is the crowning achievement of years of close collaboration between the Town of Avon and Avon Schools. The building, which will open this December, will reshape the Avon-Washington Township community by serving as identifiable town center that Avon has always lacked. The Civic Center will be the backdrop of festivals, concerts, farmers markets, parades, civic functions, and other vibrant community gatherings. It will also house the administrative offices of the Town of Avon, Avon Schools, and other prominent local organizations. Dr. Scott Wyndham has a dynamic and detailed conversation with Town of Avon Town Manager Ryan Cannon about the fast-approaching opening of the brand new Avon Civic Center and the groundbreaking partnership between the Town of Avon and Avon Schools. Tune in to find out more about the project and to learn how the Town of Avon and Avon Schools have cultivated a partnership that will benefit generations of Avon residents.
