Avon High School's Junior Day of Caring

Episode Summary

What happens when you release nearly 900 Avon High School juniors to spend a day serving nearly 40 local organizations? You get Junior Day of Caring. Not only do the local organizations benefit by being able to check numerous labor-intensive tasks off their lists, but the students benefit by having a fun day with friends, learning more about vital organizations, interacting with influential leaders, and deepening their roots in the community they call home. That's what AHS's annual Junior Day of Caring is all about. In this episode, Dr. Wyndham talks with two AHS juniors, Jade Price and Mayowa Adetoye, the day after the event to get their thoughts about how Junior Day of Caring impacted them, their classmates, and the community. Pull up a chair and enjoy the conversation.
